I Guess I’m OK With This

Oof. We just found out that we will be homeschooling again this school year due to the course of COVID-19.

Luckily, my family just returned from 3 glorious days of camping with no mobile phone service nor internet connection. That means I was in a Zen place (what my husband likes to call, “The Cone of Mellow”) when I heard the news.

For all of you parents who are feeling overwhelmed right now, please take some time to find a socially distanced, outdoor getaway and nurture yourself. If you can’t go anywhere, watch a stand-up comedy show on Netflix, or even something sweet on Disney+ (I suggest live action Lady and The Tramp). If none of those options are possible, you can always listen to some good, old fashioned Reggae music to feed your soul.

Remember, if you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t take care of others! 💛
